Governance of Al-Anon Family Groups of Southeastern Wisconsin

Al-Anon Family Groups of Southeastern Wisconsin (aka theAl-Anon Service Center or Al-Anon Office) and Service Board are responsive to the needs and desires of the Al-Anon groups in southeastern Wisconsin. This is done through a voting body of group representatives called Information Service Representatives (ISRs). ISRs represent their Al-Anon group at intergroup meetings.

Intergroup Meetings

All registered Al-Anon groups in the southeastern Wisconsin may elect one member to serve as the group’s representative at intergroup meetings for the Al-Anon Service Center. Each representative is called an Information Service Representative (ISR).  ISRs attend intergroup meetings every other month to discuss and and vote on matters related to the Al-Anon Service Center.

Intergroup generally meets on the 4th Thursday of ODD months at 7:00 pm (although dates may change to avoid conflicts). See Upcoming Events Calendar for dates and details.

Note: All meetings are Hybrid. For those attending in-person, the usual meeting location is in Room 2135 (First Floor).

Service Board Meetings

The Service Board is the governing entity of The Al-Anon Family Groups of  Southeastern Wisconsin. The Service Board oversees the day to day operations of the Al-Anon Service Center. It reports on the status of its responsibilities at each regular meeting of the Intergroup. Members of the board, including its Chairperson, are chosen by the Intergroup.

Group Representatives

Group Representatives (GR) are a representative for each group on a state level (Area 61/WIUPMI) as opposed to Intergroup Service Rep (ISR) which are representatives at the local level (Southeastern Wisconsin).
