Service Opportunities from Community Outreach Chair

Roger’s Behavioral Health Friends and Family Saturday meetings is in need of virtual Al-Anon speakers
This is a virtual Friends and Family (F&F) meeting, using the Microsoft Teams App. You’ll receive a Teams link from the program contact a few days before the spot. Feel free to join early. The program runs all day Saturday and Sunday. The Al-Anon volunteer speaker is asked to share for 20-30 mins, and a Q&A period will follow. We ask that you share what it was like, how you came to Al-Anon, and what it is like now, focusing on the hope and healing that recovery brings. You may also provide a simple explanation about what Al-Anon is and what it has done for you and your relationships. Refer any requests for literature or other resources to the Al-Anon Information Service Center office.

More volunteer opportunities: There are times when we receive requests for Al-Anon members to share their stories of experience, strength and hope at Friends and Family programs for local recovery centers. Additionally, we need volunteers to help cover Al-Anon Information tables at resource fairs and recovery events.
