Event Details
We need 2 to 3 people to help us with testing out new ways to reach the newcomer, and to facilitate 12-step work through our service center. It helps if you are good with technology but we need to test it on those who are not too– so don’t let that stop you!

Are you passionate about helping newcomers find support?
We’re launching a new initiative to connect SE WI individuals reaching out via phone or web for help with caring volunteers to speak with them live.

Project Goals:
Connect our area’s newcomers with a volunteer for a 12 step call or suggest a meeting
Enable technology from our office call forwarding or web chat to volunteers remotely at their homes
Call/text Coverage needed when office is closed: Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, 10 AM – 4 PM

How You Can Help:
Become a project Volunteer for just 1 hour a week
Participate in planning and mini-trials of different solutions
Help us make a real difference with newcomers by creating a great process!

Project Timeline:
Phase 1: Team formation (Now – Oct 22) (2 volunteers)
Phase 2: Mini-trials (Oct 22 – Nov 10). (phase 1 volunteers + 2 more)
Phase 3: Full launch (Nov 15 – Mid January)

We Need 4 Volunteers to design and test this process!
2 Volunteers for solution design (2 people) – Skills: good at designing customer service processes, using technology / cell, such as chats, messenger, phone trees, etc. October to December.

2 (diff) Volunteers for testing out the recommended solution
